Back in January, Apple revealed plans for iOS 11.3, giving consumers a heads-up on what they can expect once they install the update. Just as promised, the iOS 11.3 update has arrived in time for spring.
iOS 11.3 allows iPhone and iPad users to disable “processor throttling,” introduces four new Animojis, updates ARKit and Health Records features and delivers “detailed” battery updates for iPhone 6s and above. At present time, this stands as the most expansive iPhone upgrade since iOS 11 first hit the market. Specifically, the list of important changes includes the following:
-The latest Animoji set is made up of a dragon, lion, bear and skull
-ARKit 1.5 provides better object and surface recognition
-Consumers are now able to see their battery’s “overall capacity” and stay updated on the overall health and lifespan of their unit; the Health app has the ability to consolidate your health records and history
-Messages can now be utilized to engage in “customer support conversations,” like talking with service reps from a company such as Discover or Wells Fargo
-Apple Music now has a video clips section
-The App Store Updates tab reveals the “size of each update” and other minor details
For those seeking to upgrade today, go to the Settings app, head to General, and access Software Update.
